Today, there are many craftspeople still producing premium ceramics in Japan - for matcha, and for all types of tea. Many of them inherited the passion and skillset from the generation before them, with many clay workers commonly being 3-5th generation.

We selected these 'Matcha Mugs' for their rugged, unique appearance, as well as their strong construction. These mugs are suitable for mixing and drinking matcha directly, and may also be happily enjoyed with other types of Japanese tea.

Select from two premium color-ways. Both styles have been traditionally designed, yet with modern convenience in mind. For a lighter appearance, see the 'Soft White' style. And for a darker complexion, kindly select the 'Kaizen Blue' variation.

These ceramics are made from only premium, specialized clay that has been specially blended by our artisan partner producers. Our partners are multigenerational craftspeople with a remarkable skillset and attention to detail.
